More Soldiers Die by their hands, not by enemies

I want you to imagine something. Who are the heroes of america? Who are the men and women who risk there lives out there more than anyone? Some think of the Police, The Firemen, or even... The Army, The Navy Seals, The Air Force,  and The Marines... In lament's terms, US Military Soldiers.

There's now doubt that the US Soldiers have become a huge Impact on the U.S. Through the various stories of them killing Osama Bin Ladin, from the fiction we see in movies and video games, it's become apparent they have become a symbol to america, a source of courage of some sorts. There is now denying that.  However, while we see and hear stories about the hardship of what it's like going on the lives, and how families react when they are K.I.Aed, what you won't believe is that some of them die on purpose and even by their own hands. That's right, the people who protect have a hard time of doing so badly, that they will eve take their own life to no longer take the pain.

Recent Studies seem to show that More and more Soldiers are slowly starting to take their own lives.  In recent studies, soldiers that died in combat started to see a dramatic in 2011 and 2012 and, around that same time, a general increase of soldiers in who committed suicide.  That's not all; In 2010, a total of 156  active duty soldiers killed themselves. That fallowing year showed that number increasing to 165 and in 2012, 177 soldiers died by their own hands. If you think it's just the one's who are still in duty doing this you're wrong. In 2011, 118 off-duty soldiers have committed suicide and in the next year 126 killed themselves.

In addition to all that, in 2012, a total of 349 soldiers (Both Active and inactive) was reported to kill themselves, where as about 295 died in armed combat. More than half of those soldiers where serving in the U.S Army, while the rest where in the Navy, Marines, and Air Force. Not only that, but the suicide rate for the three mentioned have also seen an increase. The Marine Corps, which had notable success lowering its suicide rate over the past two years, saw its 2012 number rise by 50 percent to 48 suicides, the steepest percentage increase among the services. The force’s number of attempted suicides last year, 179, also marked a record high. Finally, The Navy and Air Force, which have traditionally had a lower incidence of suicide than the Marines and Army, each recorded more suicides this year than last. The Navy had 60, a 15 percent increase, and the Air Force tallied 59, a 16 percent increase.

Why do the people who protect us from the threats of global terrorism, the people who keep us safe, decide to kill themselves? There have been a lot of theories of why. From soldiers suffering something like PTSD, they're not receiving the proper medical and psychological treatment, and so on. Soldier are asked to do a lot in there line. They're forced to kill and do what ever it takes to protect out country. But, what we've been learning that all of this is coming at a a price. For us to stay to keep are selves safe, they're being not only to put their lives on the line, but there sanity and that seems to be far more important to them than they, and we, think it to be.
